At Surfing Elephant we believe that the ocean is not only a playground for surfers, but also a treasure we should cherish and protect.
Our surf club is more than only a spot to defy the waves: it's a community driven by the love of the ocean and the wish to make a positive change.
We aim to contribute to this change in different ways. We believe for example that a plant-based diet is not only good for our health, but also for the planet. Our menu consists of delicious, nutritious meals with plenty of options free of animal products. From refreshing salads, over filling vegan burgers and pizzas to savoury poké bowls. We strive to offer sustainable and ethical options which feed both our members & customers, as well as our planet.
In a world in which the meat industry often goes hand in hand with unnecessary suffering and environmental problems, veganism offers an alternative which shows respect for all living beings. It is a conscious choice not to see animals as a means of production, but as co-inhabitants of this planets with a right to a life without fear and cruelty. Eating vegan is not only a culinary journey, but also a journey of compassion and respect for all life.
In addition, we strive for a plastic free environment and encourage reusable materials. About 95% of our drinks are served in glass and we regularly organise clean-up initiatives to protect our beloved sea from plastic.
Because Surfing Elephant's building is equipped with solar panels and a sun boiler, you can enjoy not only the advantages of clean energy, but also contribute positively to the preservation of the environment for future generations of surf lovers.
Organic clothing is not only a trend, it's a statement, a promise to Mother Earth. By embracing organic materials, we avoid harmful chemicals which are often used in the conventional clothing industry. Our clothing fabric is cultivated without toxic pesticides and synthetic fertilizers. Hence, we contribute to healthier ecosystems and cleaner oceans.
